Missing Chibok Girls: President Jonathan Holds Crucial Talks With U.S. Envoy

President Goodluck Jonathan met with the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle, yesterday in Abuja to discuss how to actualize President Barrack Obama's offer to help Nigeria in rescuing the abducted school girls.
The meeting which was a follow-up to talks held on Wednesday between Mr. Entwistle and Nigerian security officials on the United States offer of assistance was held on the sidelines of the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa.

The U.S. Secretary of the State, John Kerry, had in phone conversation with President Jonathan offered to send “a team of experts” to help in the rescue of the abducted girls.
During the talks with the ambassador, President Jonathan on behalf of Nigerians thanked the United States once again for their offer to deploy American security personnel and asset to work with their Nigerian counterparts in the search and rescue operation.
He added that the help and support coming from the United States and other nations of the world would after the Chibok abductions will certainly go a long way in helping the nation overcome the Boko Haram insurgency.
President Jonathan also received the President of Ghana, John Mahama, and the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Kadré Ouédraogo, who brought him a message of solidarity from ECOWAS Heads of State and Government.
Jonathan had a private meetings with Klaus Schwab, the Founder of the World Economic Forum and later met with President Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania, former President Lula Da Silva of Brazil and the Prime Minister of Mali, Moussa Mara, all of who conveyed the solidarity of their governments and people.
