Messi Promises To Train Hard For The World Cup

Barcelona FC star Lionel Messi has promised to show improved performance at the World Cup to be held in Brazil, AFP reports.

While speaking with newsmen Buenos Aires the Argentian was quoted saying:

"As I join up with the national team, the atmosphere is completly different. Lots of times in the past when I have gone back to Barcelona I have played well. Now I am hoping that the opposite happens."
The 26-year-old top world footballer, whose club has not been experiencing the best times this season, also said that he is going to train hard "to give his best like always".
Messi, who returned to his native city of Rosario before meeting his WC squad, revealed that he, as long as his Barcelona colleagues, was suffering from a "lack of energy" this season.
2014 World Cup, which is to be held in Brazil, starts on June 12. Argentinian team, listed in the opening Group F along with Nigeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nigeria and Iran, is considered the strongest rival in the group.
