GOOD NEWS: U.S Embassy Announces New Visa Process

The U.S. Embassy in Nigeria has announced a new visa renewal process.
According to a statement released by the embassy on Tuesday in Lagos, the new visa process, tagged Expanded DHL Drop Box Visa programme, is for applicants who want to renew their visas.
It was also stated that the new process would commence on June 2.
The statement reads: “The U.S. Mission to Nigeria is pleased to announce the expanded DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Programme on June 2, 2014.

“This programme allows certain visa applicants who have previously been issued U.S. visas to renew their visas without attending an interview.

Pele Thinks Protests Could Hurt World Cup

Football legend, Pele, says that World Cup could suffer from protesters over high costs spent on the World Cup.
Pele shared his comments in Mexico, saying he sympathizes with protesters. He added that many visitors from other countries up to 25% cancelled their trips due to the unstable situation. He added that such outcome was “ a great loss for the country.”

About 200 people were killed by multiple explosions at Jos Main Market, between Railway Terminus and the temporary site of the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), according to the reports.
The first explosion sounded at about 2:55 PM while the second happened about 10 metres away at about 3:20 PM around the same area, according to Premium Times.
According to CNN, there were three explosions. The first blast was a bomb detonated at the Terminus market, where food and clothes are sold, the journalists said. The second blast was at the same market and could have been a bomb or gas canister ignited by the first bomb. The third explosion was at Abuja market, which sells shoes, the journalists at the scene reported.

Official: 2 killed at West Virginia coal mine

Two workers died after they were trapped as the ground failed at a West Virginia coal mine with a history of safety violations, federal and state officials said Tuesday.

The ground failure occurred just about 8:45 p.m. Monday, trapping the workers, safety agency officials told The Associated Press in emails. The miners' bodies were recovered, and safety personnel were on the site of Brody Mine No. 1 in Boone County, about 50 miles south of Charleston.
