Vera who is popularly called Kenya's 'Kim Kardashian' because of her massive behind and curves is obviously not bothered with what critics think said: ‘‘Looking good is my business, my body is my business, nobody else's but mine’’.
Vera who says she's already seen an increase in demand for her services is no doubt gaining popularity for her skin lightening as she made it to BBC Trending News this morning.

Meanwhile a hastag #Bleachedbeauty was created for people to share their opinions on the issue of skin lightening and over 4,000 people have commented.
According to some tweets: "#BleachedBeauty is fake. Only those with low self-esteem would do that," one tweeted.
Another tweet says: "#Bleachedbeauty Ladies will soon begin bleaching their brains so they come up with bright ideas,".
While some have criticized, others, however praised her "openness and honesty" in speaking about the issue.
One of who is, TV host Larry Madowo who descried thereaction on social media as "Fascinating", "astounding" and "hypocritical" while saying many men in Kenya do indeed prefer light-skinned women, referring to them affectionately as "yellow, yellow". Dark-skinned women are sometimes derogatively called "tinted".

Although skin lightening in Kenya is still confidential unlike India where it is common, experts, however says its on the increase and warned of the dangers of unregulated black market treatments.
Vera has joined the long list of Celebs being criticized for using lightening cream the likes of Cameroonian Singer, Dencia, Nigerian actress, Thelma O'khaz , Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson and Nigerian bleaching expert, Pela Tonye.
